The Day of the Dead or "Día de Muertos" is a Mexican holiday celebrated throughout Mexico. The holiday is a time for remembering friends and family members who have died. In 2008, UNESCO added the tradition to their "Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity."
